Payment processing is handled by our booking platform provider (WeTravel) and their payment processors (Stripe/Airwallex). We do not directly store your credit card or bank account details on our servers.

Travel and Experience Information: Heritage and ancestry information you choose to share with us, travel preferences, group composition, emotional or personal context you provide to help us customise your experience, and post-trip feedback or testimonials.

Communication Records: Records of your communications with us via email, WhatsApp, phone, social media, or other channels.

  • Stripe and/or Airwallex (payment processing via WeTravel)

  • Ground transportation providers (name, pickup details)

  • Email service providers (for newsletters, if you have opted in)

  • Website analytics providers (see Section 7)

These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Cultural Custodians and Local Partners: To deliver your journey experience, we share relevant information (your name, any accessibility or dietary needs, and general group composition) with our cultural custodians and local community partners in Ghana. We share only what is necessary for your experience and safety.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

14. Photography and Testimonials

During Protour Africa journeys, photographs and videos may be taken by our team, cultural custodians, or fellow travellers.

Our Use of Images: We may use photographs or videos taken during journeys for our website, social media, and marketing materials. We will seek your consent before using any identifiable image of you. You may decline or withdraw consent at any time.

Testimonials: If you provide a testimonial or review, we may use it on our website and marketing materials with your permission. We will attribute testimonials by first name and city only, unless you consent to fuller attribution. You may request removal of your testimonial at any time.

Other Travellers: We cannot fully control photographs taken by other travellers in your group. We encourage respect and consent within all groups and address photography guidelines during the journey orientation.
