Upon arriving at the Kotoka International Airport, a guide or driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. They would also assist you with your hotel check in and preparations for the next day. Hotel Check in begins at 12:00pm The night will be spent in Accra.

Your guide will take you to exchange your currency for Cedi. For guests who prefer to use the ATM or bank, you would be taken to the closest one available to get some money. For guests who are interested in sewing some African attire, we can arrange a meeting with a tailor to take your measurements and styles for sewing.

Bonwire Kente weaving village is a village located in Juaben, Kumasi. This is where the popular Ghanaian local cloth “kente” originated from. It is also one of the leading kente weaving locations in Ghana. Kente is a local cloth made up of different patterns, colours and designs which is worn on special occasions like festivals, weddings, naming ceremonies as well as enstoolment of kings, queens and chiefs. Bonwire Village will be followed by the village of Ntonso where artisan’s hand-stamp patterns on a cotton cloth to make Adinkra textiles. Black-on-black and blank-on- red Adinkra cloth is worn on funeral and solemn occasions. You will have an opportunity to learn how to make black dye from the bark of trees. Manhyia palace is the home of the King of Asante. It is a palace that upholds the heritage and values of centuries of Ashante culture. It is the administrative headquarters of the “Asante Kingdom”. The palace holds history of the Asantes since before the arrival of the British in the Gold Coast during colonial rule till date.

Prempeh II Museum, popularly known as Kumasi National and Cultural Center is a national workshop for crafts, art performances and a museum. The museum was established by Nana Prempeh II and is well noted for portraying Asante culture and history. At the museum, visitors learn about the lifestyle and beliefs of the Ashantis.

Okomfo Anokye Sword Site is a sacred site to the people of Asante. It is the site where Okomfo Anokye, a high priest in Ghana planted an unmovable sword known as “the sword of unity and strength” to aid in uniting Akans in Ghana. Till now, there are no records of the sword being removed by visitors and nationals.

Assin Manso Slave Camp is a pure historical site where tourists are briefed on the slaves who were taken through the camp for their last bath and later to be auctioned before they were taken to the slave forts. Slaves who were not selected were sometimes shot dead and buried in a hole together. This is a sacred site where people believe the spirits of many ancestors reside and can be felt. The Kakum National Park was established in 1932. Kakum National Park is a home for lovers of nature. The Park is made up of mostly undisturbed virgin rainforest and is one of the famous national parks in Ghana. It protects plant and animal treasures of the African tropical forest. Trails provide self-guided day hiking opportunities where you may sight some of the over 200 bird species represented: the parrot, bee-eaters, blue plantain-eaters, hornbills, and kingfishers. The dense vegetation provides cover for globally endangered species such as the forest elephant and bongo - the largest forest antelope, as well as various types of monkeys. The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides a treetop view of the beautiful forest.

Cape Coast Castle is one of the largest of the castles built by European powers in today Ghana. It began as a trade lodge constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 on a part of the Gold Coast, which later became known as the Cape Coast. The Cape Coast Castle has served as the West African headquarters of the president of the Committee of Merchants; the seat of the British governor; and a school. It is open to the public and is currently a historical museum with Ghanaian arts and crafts gift shop, and it is the Regional headquarters of Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. Boat ride at Beyin which leads us to Nzulenzu. This boat ride is about 15 to 20 minutes and has many beautiful natural sites to see while on the river.

Nzulenzu is a village built on stilts located in the hearts of Beyin, a few kilometers away from Takoradi city. The people of Nzulezu live on a lake that links to the ocean along the coast. This tour site is very interesting as tourists get to learn the history and culture of the people living in that community, and experience their lifestyle through a walking tour. Elmina Castle was established by the Portuguese in 1482 as São Jorge da Mina (St. George of the Mine) in Elmina, Ghana (formerly the Gold Coast). It was first established as a trade settlement but later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic slave trade. Today Elmina Castle is a popular historical destination for tourists seeking to connect with their heritage and a powerful reminder of the history of the slave trade. On day 9, guests can meet with the tailor to pick up Clothes and if there are any alterations to be done on the clothes, it would be done on this day.

Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum is also known as the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. It is the last resting place of the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This museum is dedicated to him to honour his dedication in liberating Ghana, formally known as Gold Coast, from colonial rule. The Museum houses the personal effects and publications of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and pictures showing his life history with some of the most famous people of his time.

The Center for National Culture crafts market can also be simply known as the Arts Center. There are so many different stalls selling different varieties of Ghanaian inspired arts and crafts and this is one of the cool places to shop in Accra. There is so much to see and buy from woven Kente cloth, wooden sculptures to earrings and other fashion accessories matched with the latest in African Attire fashion from all over Ghana.

Kwame Nkrumah commissioned the Independence Square, also known as Black Star Square, to honour the visit of Queen Elizabeth II. Independence Square is a vast, empty expanse of concrete overlooked by spectator stands which can seat about 30,000 people. The Independence Arch was an inspiration to other African countries vying for independence and the Flame of African Liberation. The roundabout before the square contains in the center, the Black Star Gate also known as the Black Star Monument which was built in 1961. The vast area, built under Kwame Nkrumah, is designed for huge events and military marches and commercial events such as concerts and fashion shows, which take place throughout the year. Guests who are required to get a Covid Test before departing from Ghana can do so on Day nine after breakfast before beginning with the activities at the tour sites.

Guests who are interested in having a nightlife experience in Accra would be able to visit any of these hangout options (but not restricted to these options) provided to have a feel of Accra at night. Some of these hangouts options have contemporary live band music with good food and drinks. Please note that you would sometimes have to pay a fee to enter some of these venues which guests will be required to pay for themselves (venue fee could range from a minimum entry fee of GHC50 to GHC100).
